Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and clean provide the convenience of cleaning both dry debris and wet mess in one time and without the need to switch between devices. They also can save space in comparison to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will have impressive navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that can automatically empty their bins, refill their water tank, and wash their mopping pads from an appropriate dock.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has plenty to offer for its affordable price, and it's one of the most simple robots we've tested to install. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and the quick-start guide will get you running with a clean, full dust bag, floor solution for hard floors and water tank in a matter of minutes.
The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can is able to clean up a storm and is a great vacuum cleaner too. The mops spin at a high speed and utilize 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to remove dirt, pet hair and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, a variety of brushes and attachments as well as an intuitive app that lets you select the type of cleaning you want for each room.
For example, you can opt for the robot to take care of a thorough clean-up in the kitchen and living rooms but be careful with the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and smart navigation technology are excellent too and the robot is capable of detecting small obstacles that other models struggle with. Its only drawback is that it can smash into walls and other objects at a high speed, but an instant glance at the history of cleaning in the app will tell you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed and the obstacles it's avoided.
The docking station features a handy LCD screen that indicates the need for maintenance like emptying the debris and rinsing the water tank that is dirty. It can also mix detergent automatically into the water tank, using a 600ml bottle of the eufy's solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop come with plenty of running time and the mop is capable of running for up to 184 minutes in quiet mode and the vacuum able to do 136 minutes in normal mode, before having to recharge or return to the base to replenish. You can also view the full cleaning details in the app, which is clearly laid out and easily understood although we would like to be able to distinguish between a vacuum only or a vacuum/mop clean when looking at a clean area in the history of cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's flagship robot vacuum and mop. It's not like the model from last year this one has two agitators in its mopping pad, which significantly improves its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has improved suction power, allowing it to pick up small hairs and other particles that other robotic cleaners might miss.
The Roborock model, like the other two I tested it has infrared and a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it get around obstacles like furniture, walls and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by incorporating a dual camera that can detect objects and determine whether they're a wall or another surface. It then can automatically alter its direction and clean them without skipping a beat.
It's the most expensive model I've tried however it also comes with the most features. Its sleek and angular design is attractive and it has just three physical buttons which include the power button which also resumes cleaning; a mop-only switch that doubles as a child lock and a home button to return the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid, you will find 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is self-emptying and the bin auto-refilling.
The only issue I encountered to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if necessary) but it's a challenge to take off the mount for manual washing. I've observed that any carpet that the robot crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mount, which can cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart features that include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can manage and set up these through the Roborock app which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to plan cleanings and monitor the battery's life. You'll need to jump through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. This is a shame considering the performance otherwise.

3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop with incredible suction power, sophisticated mowing capabilities, and innovative features. Its intelligent design allows you to customize and efficiently clean while saving time.
The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to offer 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is among the most powerful alternatives available. This powerful vacuum can clean up dry mess, including pet hair and dust. It also comes with a top-quality mop that leaves floors spotlessly clean, even with a wet pad. In addition the X40 is quiet in it's operation, producing only occasional bursts of noise when switching modes or completing self-maintenance tasks.
The X40 also comes with a side brush that is able to be extended and lifted. This allows it to reach into corners that are difficult to reach and clean furniture with curved edges like table and chair legs. It can also get under low-profile furnishings which makes it an ideal option for apartments with small spaces or condos. The side brush tilts automatically down when it spots wet spots. This is a wonderful feature that helps the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors through excessive back-and forth movements.
Contrary to other robots, which are limited to a single task, the X40 can mop and vacuum at the same time. It can also be programmed to skip areas that have carpet and only mop hard floors, or reverse the process. It can be controlled by the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operations.
The app is intuitive and user-friendly and the X40's clever features are a breeze to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, see floor plans and mapping, and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also monitor its progress and notify you when it's done.
The X40 is easy-to-maintain and offers many convenient features, making it a great choice for busy families. The docking station will automatically cleans the dustbin and mop pads before refilling them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It also can detect when the mop pad is full and notify you before it gets overflowing, reducing the necessity for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available on the market. It does have many characteristics that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub, a new feature in its mops, uses two mop heads with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also clean pet hair, dirt particles, and clean up spills and dirty spots.
Its mops are also cleaned and dried inside the base station after each use. This is beneficial because it stops mould and unpleasant odours from accumulating in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. cheap robot vacuum 's a system that we haven't yet seen on other robot vacuums and mop models, and it could be a good method of keeping your home clean for longer.
There are plenty of options, including the ability to schedule cleanings and change preferences. The app lets you make these settings or you can utilize the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and offers many options for customizing the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are a lot of functions that other robots don't include, such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power when it detects dust particles rather than using a manual setting.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most stylish robots we've seen in the market, with a white and metallic design that looks classy and sophisticated. It's heavier than the other two-in-1 robots on this list - at 4kg - but it's not obscenely heavy, and it feels robust and well built. The mopping system is well-designed and the double-rotating mop is great for hard floors or in corners. They can also extend up to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature which is a nice feature.
